    This amazing vocal prowess was born in a musical family at Ga- Sedibeni Village, under the revered Rain Queen Modjadji leadership at Bolobedu in Limpopo Province in South Africa, Musically delicious as her names suggests,Candy was affected by this upbringing and has been interested in music for as long as she can remember.She started singing in her Mother’s community traditional group, Sekgapa, at the tender age of 14. Her mother was the group leader and also the percussionist of the act.

    Candy launched her professional music career in 1993 as song writer on the legendary late Peter Teanet’s double multi-platinum seller, Nwa’yingwani. In 1993, Candy with her friend Nurse Matlala moved to the city of gold (JHB) to look for a recording deal and met up with Shaagan Disco King Papa Penny Penny, ending up working on his National hit "Shichangani-Lshilungu”.

    In 1995, they launched their career as Shaka Bundu Girls with the platinum selling “HONA MO SOO” followed by the Gold certified “One Day” (1996),and “Hi July” in (1997).

    In 1999, after leaving Penny Penny’s stable Gallo Records at the time, they started to freelance as session musician, and later joined Kalawa Jazmee in 2004 where they were Christened CandyNurse by Oskido. This is when they become part of BOP’s Classic album, “Life Iskorokoro”, also working as the group’s backing crew.
    The duo split in 2007.

    In 2009, saw Candy go on her own and launched her solo career with her debut solo album, “Siki (Five Cents)” through Sony Music. Being a savvy person, she also decided to take her career to another level and started her Independent music label called Mosekedi Entertainment

    Through Mosekedi Entertainment, she develops new up-and–coming artist and does community initiatives amongst others things.

    One of the major highlights of Candy's career was her collaboration on the Metro FM awards winning and 19th SAMA nominated Record of the year feature on Oskido’s" TsaMandebele". The profound Khelobedu music proponent/legend in the music industry, summited music charts in the country with the “Song of the year”.Her applause deserving efforts have also been rewarded with a 2009 SATMA (Traditional music awards) and in 2010 she was also nominated for SAMA Awards for Best alternative album African.

    Candy’s strong and commanding voice has also seen her featured on a number of ground breaking collaborations.These include the BOP hit "Ma bop”, which led to the star backing the legendary act for three years, "Shikukwani" by DJ Vetkuk VS Mahoota, Mzilikazi wa Africa “Mahuwelele” Kabelo Mabalane's "Majekeje” the legendary Zimbabwean Louie Mhlanga "Hakuna Mali". "Nkatanga" by Selaelo Selota and Malatji, "Boloba Thaba" with `Revolution, DJ Lucky and
    Lacosta's "Diteki" and "Khoma jive", Uhuru “Nkirikiri”, Dr Malinga “Moshito” and Black motion’s "Maghoro". She also hosted Izintombi Zase Kalawa now Kalawa Chikitas to commemorate Women’s Day on the 9th of August 2013 and 2014.

    2009 Candy was signed by Sony Music she came out blazing with her first solo album "SIKI (FIVE CENTS) producer by Trevor Mabunda” with her new identity, the album was successful and won her her first South African Traditional awards (Satma) in 2009, the exemplary star says she believes a lot in culture and knew from Day one what she wanted her voice and languages to be preserved. Better yet she loves music and admits that she didn’t know that people will "appreciate and except her for who she is and the language that she use in her singing”

    "What she is doing is just singing and delivering messages though music. When people get motivated by her efforts, that is like icing on top of the cake.”More than looking at what is happening in the Mzansi; Candy says she is humbled by Kids all over the Country, DRC Congo, Lesotho, Botswana, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Mozambique loving their languages and "Tsamandebele has been proof of that: “...even two year old African, white or Indian can sing every word of "Tsamandebele", and this is a proof that people are into culture, the issue might have been the vehicle to deliver it to them.”



    August 2nd 2011 was Candy’s hardest moment of her life when she lost her son in a car accident and six months later was diagnosed with type 2 diabetics. Not one to be kept down, two years after that Candy launched her NGO community project CANDY TSAMANDEBELE FOUNDATION,
    through which she advises, educates and alerts people living with, Diabetes and Hydrocephalus on the importance of getting and taking treatment for it.

    This message and the need to get tested is echoed in her live performances always.

    Every year Candy does community building initiatives such as visiting schools and donating school uniforms, as well as motivating the youth both in and out of school, allowing them to use their natural ability and talents to make it in life. During her motivations she always talks about the importance of getting tested for Sugar Diabetes and the importance of taking treatment once diagnosed. Since she was diagnosed, she has made it her mission to be a Sugar diabetic warrior, she is a force to be reckoned with and she will stop at nothing for, as the mission needs her.



    Her music highlights include the 2013 performing at TATA MADIBA’s memorial service at Peter Mokaba Stadium, SAMA's, Satma awards 2013 performing at Union Building during President Jacob Zuma's 2014 inauguration, 2011 ANC’s
    99 years celebration in Limpopo @ Peter Mokaba Stadium where Candy opened the stage for the President JG ZUMA (wrote and produced the song) that was broadcast live on SABC2.

    She has also appeared at Professor Mathole Motshekga's Africa Day celebration and Modjadji Dynasty book launch; the Fifa Soccer World Cup Fan Parks opening and closing events; Candy also performed for 67minutes for Mandela Day celebration; and performed for former Deputy President Motlanthe, the former Premier Cassel Mathale, Mopani District Executive Mayor Joshua Matlou for Charity cup and Greater Letaba Municipality’s events, Capricorn FM Limpopo Music Festival.

    With culture staunchly embedded in everything she does, Candy has also been invited to perform at Maeteko Royalbz Palace in Jokoni at Mopani District she also performed at Malatji Royal Palace Phalaborwa, Limpopo, for the inauguration of the Prince Tebogo Malatji (2010), 2011 and 2012 she performed at the Rain Queen Modjadji Royal Kraal for the Rain Making ceremonies. She was also invited to perform for BRICS Nation Summit which was hosted at Chief Albert Luthulimconvention center in Durban. She also performed at Gauteng sport awards and recently performed for Water and Environmental affairs department for women in Water awards.

    On the 31st of December we bid farewell to 2013 and welcome 2014 on stage for the Mayor of Rustenburg at the 3rd Annual family day held at Olympia Stadium. On the 1st Performed at the Annual KalawaJazmee News year's day celebration held at Giant stadium
